Bridge Club FAQ's:

 

ACBL - The Kalamazoo Bridge Club is sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League.

Great Playing Site - We have a clean, well-lit playing facility with plenty of close-by parking.  We use the latest equipment, such as electronic scoring devices and a dealing machine. 

Games for all level of players - We have weekly games for players of all levels of experience and skill. 

Guaranteed Partners - Players are encouraged to make their own partnerships, however players are free to come without a partner.  If you would like some assistance in finding a partner, please contact one of the directors for assistance.

Weekly Schedule:

Monday Afternoon – Noon Start

Don Power Directs

There is an Open Pairs game that is open to all players, and a 99er Pairs game which is limited to newer players having fewer than 100 masterpoints.

Tuesday Afternoon – Noon Start

Catherine Gay Directs

This is an Open Pairs Game available to all players.

Tuesday Evening - 6:00 PM Start

Alan Bau Directs

This is a 99er Pairs game is limited to players having fewer than 100 Masterpoints.

5:30 PM Pregame bridge discussion led by Alan Bau

Wednesday Evening – 6:00 PM Start

Catherine Gay Directs

5:30 PM pre-game bridge discussion led by Bill Northrop

This Zero to 750  Pairs game is limited to players having fewer than 750 masterpoints

Thursday Afternoon – Noon Start

Alan Bau Directs

This is an Open Pairs game available to all players

There is also a Supervised game that is limited to players having fewer than 20 masterpoints.

Friday Afternoon 1:00 PM  Start

There is an Open Pairs Game that is open to all players, and a 299er Pairs Game which is limited to players having fewer than 300 masterpoints.

 Saturday Afternoon 1:00PM  Start

This is an Open Pairs Game available to all players.

Sunday Evening – 6:00 PM Start

These are Team games that generally use the  eight is enough format.  Please check the Events Schedule elsewhere on this website as we only run a couple of these Sunday Evening Team Games per year.

Intermediate/Newcommer Program

· Our Intermediate/Newcomer Program was developed to provide assistance to newer players wanting to improve their bridge skills and enjoyment of the game.

· We have several games each week that allow players to play against competition at their level.

· We offer a variety of beginning bridge classes and workshops many times throughout the year. 

· We have games where newer players have an opportunity to play with a Life master.

· We have a Mentoring Program where newer players have an opportunity to play with a more experienced player.

The Kalamazoo Bridge Club is located in the West Main Place Shopping Mall at 648 Maple Hill Drive in Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49009.

The closest major interchange is Rt. 131 and (M43) West Main Street.

Exit US-131 onto West Main Street (Exit 38) (M43). Turn East and then turn south at the first traffic light Maple Hill Drive  which is located between The Texas Corral and Long John Silvers restaurants.

Stay on Maple Hill Drive to the south end of the West Main Place Mall, turn left and drive down the short hill and turn left (north). Suite # 648 is first suite past the stairway.
